I’m a poet and artist based in the Lake District. With Shaking Hands started as a space for poetry and grew into something bigger. Now it holds the writing, the paintings, the process and the fury behind all of it.
I create art because the world is on fire and silence feels like complicity. Because violence against women and girls is not a women’s issue, it’s a humanity issue and most of humanity looks the other way. Because the same systems that grind people into poverty are filling the pockets of a handful of men who already have more than they could spend in a thousand lifetimes. Because we are watching the planet being sacrificed for profit while the people making that decision will never face the consequences. Because innocent people are dying in wars started by powerful men protecting their own power.
I’m also a mother, which means all of this is personal. I make work in the gaps and the quiet moments, when the house finally stops. Both the making and the mothering remind me what actually matters.
Feminist. Environmental. Unapologetic. Based in Windermere.
Every print sold here gives something back. 10% of profit from every sale goes to Rape Crisis England & Wales, every month. They are the feminist charity working to end sexual violence and abuse. The work on these walls is about refusing to be quiet. This is part of that. Not a gesture. A standing commitment.

I WRITE. I PAINT. I REFUSE TO BE QUIET.
